MACEDON, Beroea. Time of Philip I. Year 275 (244/245 AD). Æ 27mm (13.53 gm). Head of Alexander the Great right, wearing crested Athenian helmet decorated with a griffin / Young male standing left, holding patera and whip, altar at his feet left; before him an agonistic table surmounted by two prize urns, column surmounted by a vase in the background. Gaebler, pg. 190, 864; Sear GICV 4814. Good VF, dark brown patina, surfaces a little rough. ($200)
